Dear university students:
Those dreams where you realize that it's the final exam and you hadn't been to class or done homework all semester? Or where you suddenly realize that there's a class you'd been forgetting to attend for a month, and now it's the day after the drop deadline?

They will never stop.

After a while they do get more surrealistic. 'Wait a minute -- if I take this class over I have to move away from my husband and kids for months. Or get the paperwork for transfer credits.'

Heck, I had a high school dream not so long ago. Child Protective Services pulled my out of my classroom and was going to take me away from my parents. I eventually remembered I was over forty, and protested, but I'd lost my driver's license so I couldn't prove it.

I don't know if I've had them since I went back to school officially. (I know I had a few while I was in the Daggett lab.)

I still get them. Ha. I liked the one where I had to go back to high school to finish some classes I forgot, or they'd rescind my university degrees. Usually, though, I'm just running around trying to remember which classes I signed up for in the first place, because I blew them all off till the final...

I still have them, too -- but in mine, I'm about to give an exam that I have yet to write.
